Trepca miners will go on protest Thursday before the Kosovo government, with the demand being granted salaries for nearly three months unpaid.
Thus has announced the Independent Trade Union of Trepca Miners, which said their situation is heavy and will exploit peaceful protest as the democratic means to ask for “the mouthbread”.
The non-recognition of wages has led miners to a crisis situation for existence, so as a means of demanding a living for themselves and their family has remained protesting as a legal and democratic tool”, the union says.

Kosovo's Trepca miners have taken the decision to organise peaceful protests on expressing disappointments over the continued injustices already known -- that is, not realising salaries for Trepca miners for more than two months.
The protest will be held in Pristina near the Government of the Republic of Kosovo on Thursday, dated 15.08.2024 by 12:00.
The march will begin from the Zahir Pajaziti-Pristina square near the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.
This protest reflects the sole demand of miners, which is the payment of unpaid salaries for nearly three months.
To know that the miners' situation has been severely charged, pay failure has led miners into a situation of existence, so as a means of demanding a living for themselves and their family has remained protesting as legal and democratic means. Good luck!
