At this meeting, Kurti has said he has reconfirmed the commitment to promoting peace and security in the Western Balkans.
I thanked Director Burns for his continued support for Kosovo and reaffirmed our commitment to promote peace and security in the Western Balkans. These common goals are possible only through a genuine commitment to rule of law, democracy and human rights, on the part of all countries in the region”, Kurti has written.
For this meeting, he also announced on Facebook. The visit was named historical by Burns as brilliant diplomat.

Burns met with President Vjosa Osmani.
His visit to Kosovo comes after what was reportedly held in Belgrade and Bosnia.
For the visit to Serbia, no details have been made. It's not even confirmed yet.
Meanwhile, in Bosnia and Herzegovina on 20 August, Burns met with counterparts from the intelligence sector, with members of the presidency of this state and with the Bosnian Foreign Minister.
An American government official has declared for REL that the reason for the CIA chief's visit to Sarajevo was, among other things, due to the rhetoric and disturbing separatist actions of the pro-intensity president of the Republika Srpska entity, Milorad Dodik and the government of this entity.
Burns has been named as director of the US Central Intelligence Agency by President Joe Biden in January 2021.
Burns is a central figure in the administration of US President Joe Biden, as he is also a member of the White House's presidential cabinet. Earlier he was an ambassador to Russia.
