LDK Women's Forum Speaker Jehona Lushaku Sadriu has criticised the education ministry's decision to subsidise textbooks.
At a media conference, Lushaku said this minister has been unable to fulfil the legal obligation for book insurance, as well as students will not have books in their banks on September 1st, as there will be delays.
“We express our concern that for the second time, the Education Ministry fails to provide textbooks for Kosovo students. This shows that this ministry is unable to fulfil its legal obligation to secure the books. After all, it's very important not how much parents get, but whether kids have school banks on September 1st, subsequently on September 2nd, and it turns out it's certain that students won't get their books, there'll be delays in supplies because parents still don't have basic information about when they get books, when they'll be subsidized, which will be the application procedure for subsidies and other problems coming out of this”, Lucu Sandriou said.
