According to Reuters news agency sources, Harris will choose in the middle of Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro or Minnesota's Tim Walz.
Harris, vice president of the United States, is expected to disclose his name Tuesday before making his first public appearance with the candidate for vice president, at a Temple University organisation in Philadelphia.
That organisation will mark the launch of a five-day tunnel in seven different American states, aimed at boosting support before presidential elections.
The election of a presidential ticket candidate is one of the most important decisions in Harris' political career, as she attempts to defeat the Republican candidate, former president Donald Trump and US Senator J.D. Vance, selected from Trump as candidate for vice president.
Shapiro, 51, is a growing party star and has considerable support in Pennsylvania, a key state for winning an election candidate.
If Harris chooses her, Shapiro will be the first Jewish vice president of the United States, until Harris intends to become the first colored woman in the position of the president of the United States.
Walz, 60-year-old former National Military Guard member, and former teacher, has each increased his name in the party and is recently known for his criticism of Trump and Vances.
Candidates will know Monday evening or Tuesday morning that Harris chose.
She has started researching the vice presidential candidate just two weeks ago, as the current president, Joe Biden, withdrew from the race and supported the vice president to move on. /rel
