Kosovo's presidency has made some clarifications about the situation created at the airport, recalling that when state leaders travel, they are protected with diplomatic privileges and immunity.
It is also known that the telephone of the heads of state cannot be scanned because a state's security is in question.

Otherwise, the TAV Macedonia company, which manages Skopje Airport, has declared that the phone is required in order to undergo mandatory security control through x-ray equipment.

The Kosovo Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also reacted to the incident in Skopje.
MPJD says they immediately requested official information on the case.
“Linked to yesterday's incident at Skopje Airport, where the president of the Republic of Kosovo, the United States. Dr. Vjosa Osmani, faced with inadequate and illegal treatment by airport security members, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo has taken immediate steps by seeking official and details of the North Macedonia Embassy in Kosovo”, said in response.
A response to the situation has also made the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Northern Macedonia stressed that relations between the Republic of Northern Macedonia and Kosovo are positive and constructive, without open issues and with honest dialogue at all levels and fields.
The Republic of Northern Macedonia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade has requested information from all competent institutions concerning yesterday's event. After a detailed analysis of data collected in co-operation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, all necessary measures will be taken to avoid such situations in the future”, the MPJ statement said.
Representatives of Albanian parties in northern Macedonia have also reacted to the August 1st incident.
The Democratic Union for Integration and the Alliance for Albanians have condemned the case, meanwhile Deputy Prime Minister Izet Mexhit said there has been a “misunderstanding between the MPB, Osman's TAV and security have exceeded “without complications, and the situation has been passed without consequences”.
Kosovo and Northern Macedonia have diplomatic reports and so far have had no incidents of this nature.
