On August 12th, Monday, the Albanian National Council in the Presevo Valley will organise widespread protests because of the discrimination of Albanians on the part of Serbia's state.
Albanian National Council Chairman Navzad Lutfiu, via a post on the social platform, Facebook, has indicated that the protest will be organised in the centre of Bujanoc, originally at 11:00.
About identity and dignity! Come on! For yourself! For those who come after us.
Contrary to several days earlier, Luflu, via a video message, while warning of organising a popular protest argued that Serbia's discrimination against the Albanian community “has affected the borders of racism”.
“There is no Albanian family left in our country without being affected by the process of proceeding” addresses.
Through the equipment, according to him, Serbia is robbing citizens of the right to vote.
“And therefore called on the responsible authorities to correct these serious offences without further delay”, he appealed.
As for employment in state institutions, according to Lutfiu, Albanian cadres are being ignored while bringing Quadro from other cities in Serbia.
“In Presevo over 95 percent Albanians the director of the health house in this city is Serbian, in contests declared by this institution ignore Albanian doctors as they behave Quadro from other cities in Serbia”.
This practice of discrimination, as he points out, is in every state institution.
Weeks ago, the European Commission and Germany's Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed concern over the progress of Albanian addresses in the Presevo Valley by authorities in Serbia.
According to the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this tendency of Serbia conflicts with the obligations this country has to respect minority rights.
