Through a Facebook report, Hoti has presented facts that he says show that the Ministry of Education planned to buy books through procurement procedures and not in the form of subsidy as it is now being done.
This is evidenced by the procurement plan for 2024, which August delivered to AQP on January 19, 2024. See the chart on the red - colored row: “The book used for 1-9 classrooms for 2024/25x2> That's what 9.47 miles were designed for. The euro to buy 3.2 miles. piece of books, at the average price of 3 euros per book. This procurement activity is meant to start on 28,06,2024.”, Hoti wrote.
Also, according to MP Hoti state the most expensive is buying books individually from parents than paying publishing houses directly from the budget.
Everyone with basic economic knowledge knows that the purchase of large goods costs cheaper than retail. The difference is determined by the margin of retail sales. In the past two years, the Kurti Government has gone into retail purchase. Thus, the state and family budgets are costing students several million more.
The argument that the budget is being saved by failing to pay publishing houses directly from the budget is fraud”, Hoti wrote.
