Democratic Party of Kosovo candidate for prime minister Bedri Hamza is staying in the United States of America.
He has said he has had an important and warm meeting in State Department with American diplomacy leader in the Balkans Alexander Cassanoff.
I had an important and warm meeting at State Department, with the new leader of American diplomacy in the Balkans, Mr. Alexander Cassanoff. I am most honored to be the first Balkan leader to meet Mr. Cassanoff, since he's come to Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Western Balkans. Its unique experience made discussing challenges in the new geopolitical landscape very useful. The chairman for Southeast Europe, Mrs. Colleen Hyland, who served at the American Embassy in Kosovo and is a great supporter of ours, wrote Hamza.
Hamza has said that this meeting has also been discussed in deepening relations between Kosovo and the United States of America.
We agreed on the essential need for co-operation, co-ordination and predictability in our relations with the United States, while I presented the plan of my fast-focused governance with strategic investments, with increased citizens' well-being and NATO membership, where US support will be defining, Hamza added.
We have a lot of work to do and we've lost a lot of time, but I'm more convinced than ever in America we have the main pillars of support and protection, Hamza said.
