Aiming to cut costs for electricity, the Kosovo Energy Efficiency Fund (FKEE) has opened Tuesday's second public call for subsidising the isolation of individual households.
For profit from the subsidy, according to the FKEE, in a house it should be that electricity consumption in the last 24 months will be at least 250 kilowatt hours per month, while after meeting conditions, the beneficiary must secure the bill or agreement signed with the supervisor.

But economic knowledge, Mustaf Kadriaj, has said it will affect the benefits of those families who do not have difficult financial conditions.
A category of middle society can enjoy this kind of subsidies launch, but when we talk about a category that, we have layers that are poor, a lot of the monetary side is the problem of having contact. So in this regard, I appreciate that something was needed a little bit different from the government, maybe it would be better to get billed on the electricity bill, because not everyone has a certain amount of cash”, he said.
Worship Hadzimus, an energy economist, has seen the change in criteria necessary so that even families with serious financial conditions can benefit from these subsidies.
“This large portion of households in Kosovo do not have the opportunity to afford it. The solution to this should be to make the height of subsidy based on a discrimination based on access to ATK or even the social welfare office, but also in the number of family members, because it has social components. On the other hand, it would also be good for a loan from the bank for investing a vet sum”, Haxhimusa has said.
The application for benefit from the subsidies to house isolation is expected to last two weeks. Last year, these subsidies have benefited more than 2,000 families.
The subsidy project is supported by the European Union (BE), within the IPA programme. /Time.net
