KFOR has announced that the staff and helicopters of the East Regional Command have helped extinguish the prevale fire.
“KFOR provides assistance according to Kosovo institutions' request”, it says in announcement
The announcement further states that KFOR acts according to its mandate, based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244, to contribute to safe environment and freedom of movement for all people in Kosovo.
This mission says it is the third security responsibility in Kosovo, in co-ordination with the Kosovo Police and the EULEX mission, which are the first and second responsibilities.
