News agency, The DPA, reported that a Qatar Airways company plane with 28 Afghan nationals on board who had arrived in Germany from various states, was launched from Leipzig to Kabul on Friday morning.
The operation was organised by Germany's Interior Ministry.
Germany has no diplomatic relations with Taliban leaders in Kabul.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has said after a deadly stab attack on the town of Manheim in late May that the expulsion of dangerous criminals and terrorist suspects in Afghanistan and Syria will become possible.
The debate has returned after a deadly stab attack last week in the town of Solingen, where three people are left dead.
The main suspect in the attack is a 26-year-old Syrian who is believed to have escaped the expulsion order.
