Citizen reporting on gun shootings increased

So said at the group's meeting for implementation of Strategy and Regional Guides for Small Arms, Letha and Explosives ) AVLE, which was held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Blerim Gashani, the Nacional Co-ordinator for Small Arms Control, Lehta and Explosives respectively.

A general assessment of all strategic objectives and implementation in practice of activities stemming from Strategy and Regional Guide was made, where it was concluded that much of the activities are being implemented according to the planned dynamics, while challenges to several other activities were discussed.

According to the media report, this meeting had particular emphasis, the awareness campaign: “Festo with hearts, not with weapons”, which is currently being implemented by the MPB and, in this case, Gashan, noted that this campaign will continue to be dynamic throughout the year in order to achieve goals for the decline in the number of cases where there are festive shootings.

In turn, it becomes known that Gashan noted that the campaign is giving its effects, as we have a growing number of cases when citizens are reporting these shootings, while these reports are being seriously addressed in concrete actions by Kosovo Police, who are intrusing the seizure of weapons and arresting suspects, Klankos.tv reports.

At this meeting as an important challenge was discussed, the form of the names of the works, in cases of gun shooting, and the entire group agreed that this form in the future must be changed based on the laws in power and the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
