Miners of the Trepca mine have gone on strike for 25 days now because they have not received their salaries for two months.

Miftar Mehmeti, one of the miners involved in the strike, has expressed concern over the lack of the government's “appropriate response” regarding their situation.

Because we're on strike for 25-26 days, until a week ago there's been no reaction from anyone. This is absurd, I don't know what's going to happen,” said Mehmeti.

In an appeal to Prime Minister Albin Kurti and his government, Mehmeti has called for immediate measures for solutions to the issue to be taken.

Mehmet also shared an emotional moment, showing his efforts to secure a job for his 13-year-old son, only to make ends meet.
