Through the deal, the United States, the European Union and over 20 other countries pledged to help protect Ukraine. The agreement was presented by US President Joe Biden at a media conference alongside other NATO leaders and Zelensky at the end of the summit on 11 July.

He said the deal has helped Kiev acquire extremely important air defence systems to help combat the already over two-year Russian invasion.
Twenty-four NATO and Ukraine leaders approved the agreement under Ukraine's defence reinforcement and other commitments.
The leaders also pledged to meet “quickly and jointly” at a high level in the event of an attack by Russia against Ukraine in the future, following the end of the current conflict.
Bideni has called the “central section” agreement of a “ure” on Ukraine's road to NATO.
