24 years ago, on July 7, 1998,
During an action we had undertaken six of the KLA's free zone, along with Lumni Berisha-Hndi and Besmir Shala, we are in ambush of Serb forces led by the Serb police commander in Prizren, Shekiq!
As the fighting took place, while I was with a few soldiers on the front line, on the right side of the front line (Pepanics) was riding Agim Shala with warriors from Jeshkova, as Jevat Berisha and friends from headquarters had come to my rear...
After hours of fighting with Serbian forces that took place at the site called “Lake Billusha”, Serbian occupational forces with great losses and shame were forced to step back from where they came from.
The July 7th wars mobilised many boys and girls from the Prizren municipality in the ranks of UCK, who took part in many other battles, where they would successfully face the fighting that took place in the Verin region as in Tusuz, Leskove, the town Hoshe, Billushe, Arberi, Poslith, the Malesia of Vren, Kushndali, war shares that did not stand against the Serbian occupant in Kosovo, during 1998-1999.
Serbian forces, even after July 7th, organised an elite unit of theirs to liquidate me, setting various traps and ambushes which were unsuccessful.
The war on freedom of Kosovo continues with many battles in Prizren and elsewhere in Kosovo until the country's complete release on June 12th 1999, where it eventually ended Serbia-Slav* century rule on our lands.
I respectfully remember all those brave warriors, some of whom today are the hero of Kosovo!
P. S; In the recent end of the fighting, I respectfully want to remember the arrival of three journalists Qazim Thaqi, Agron Shporta and Aslan Bekteshi, as well as the now-feeling KMDLNI activist Masar Shala with a bass, who echoed this KLA triumph!
With respect, Zafa
