“The Witness points to nicknames that KLA members had

The Witness was first presented with a document in which several names were in, or nicknames, of some people.

For Fatmir Limaj, the witness said he had the nickname “celik”, “Remi” was the rrustem Mustafa, “Gazetar” under him was Shukri Bouja, “David” was the nickname of Daut Haradinaj, “Tope”, <x10Puux11> of George Gashi.

While by the name “Besnik”, the witness said it could be for Besnik Ndushajan, who, according to him, was the courier of Staff. On the other hand, "The Little Day" was Hysni Syla, who was dubbed "Daja"?

Speaking of events from January 1999, the dégistor was introduced to a list of which he said is the seals of operational zones and the signatures of the municipalities in these areas.

According to him, this list was created at the January 20th meeting of the General Staff held with the commanders of the zones and was designed to know what their seals and signatures are.

The witness said that the General Staff has had continued meetings because of the war situation, but those with the commanders of the zones were less.

Later, a document of February 4th 1999, which he said bears the stamp of the General Staff and the signing of Jakup Kransic, was presented.

After that, prosecutor Claire Lawson focused on a meeting late February 1999 in Drenica when the proposal for the general commander was made.

In another document, Sylejman Selimi was even said to be commander of Drenica's operational zone had raised concerns, where he said the appointments made by the General Staff are disturbing, citing Sokol Bashatta and Jakup Kransij.

The witness claimed he remembered there were complaints by local commanders for the two deputy commanders, and in particular for Sokol Bashata on the pretext that he should be more active, knowing what is being done that many organisational parts were his role and understand Krasniqi's role as deputy.

The witness said Sylejman Selimi and the commander of the Drenica area had said Jakup Krasniqi is not worthy of the deputy commander's position as well and does not deserve it.

Later at the February 27th meeting, the witness confirmed that Jakup Krasniqi had said he would give up the post of deputy commander, as well as sokol Basota.

With that the witness's testimony concluded today to follow through tomorrow morning.
