Volkswagen's decision to place control on the wheel with a sense of touch not only has caused the owners a headache but it is also blamed for several clashes.

Publishing Ars Technica At least 13 clashes have been presented to the US Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), many of which included certain Volkswagen vehicles.

According to the report, all collisions included SUV, Volkswagen ID.4, sends out Telegrafi.

In ID.4 and a number of other Volkswagen models built since 2019, the steering buttons are flexible and not physical.

While almost all 13 collisions reportedly occurred at relatively low speed when drivers were parking, three resulted in passenger injuries, while one did not cause black box registration or opening airbags, despite considerable damage to the EV battery.

Ars Technica reports that a Volkswagen representative said the company is “aware of a small number of complaints”, while the NHTSA has not yet opened an official investigation for the alleged guilt.

Volkswagen has already begun to withdraw from his movement towards space checks, with company chief Thomas Schafer announcing at the end of 2022 that he will return to the buttons.

Some new models have already taken on more traditional keys.

Although models like Tiguan of the new generation and Mk8.5 The new Golf have returned to traditional steering controls, no such change has been announced for ID.4. /Telegraphy/
