Speaking to Finnish President Alexander Stubbb, she looked up from the ceiling, wrote foreign media before marking with her wrist.
A third person listening to the conversation then pulled out his phone to check the clock, and she looked back before she realized that the cameras were focused on her.
It's unclear what leaders were discussing, but the response caught everyone's attention.
Beden and Stoltenberg finally opened the third day of the summit around 10:40 am after Biden left the White House for the summit about 20 minutes after the event was scheduled to begin.
The White House also postponed the Biden press conference at 6:30 p.m.
This is not the first time the 81-year-old president has kept Melon pending this summer.
He was the last of the leaders to arrive at last month's G7 summit in Italy's Poulias region.
You shouldn't let a woman wait like this”, Mellon told Benden in humor.
