Suspect Arrested Over Attack on KFOR Members in Zvecan

Kosovo police have reported that they have arrested a person suspected of violence caused on May 29th of 2023 in Zvecan.

According to police he has been arrested in South Mitrovica.

Police reports say he is one of the people who has been actively using violence in Zvecan.

“Today, with the date 24.07.24, following an investigative and operational work of the Kosovo Police teams has been located in the Mitrovica South region, the initial suspect (D.D.) against which criminal outcry was filed in the Special Prosecutor, over the case of the attack on international security authorities in Kosovo with the date 29.05.2023, identified as one of the persons who actively resorted to violence in Zvecan<2>, reportedly.

According to the announcement, he is suspected of criminal acts “reunification for anti-religious activities, with the aim of attacking the constitutional order of the Republic of Kosovo”, “endangering persons under international protection”, “participation in the crowd that committed criminal work and hooliganism” and “assault on the official person”.

All further actions reportedly will be undertaken in co-operation and co-ordination with justice organs.

Police have even attached the photograph to the suspect arrested “by attacking by strong means with May 29th 2023”.
