As Reuters reports, Choudary, 57, was sentenced last week for running “al-Muhaiiroun”, which was banned as a terrorist organization over a decade ago, and for encouraging others to support this group.
“Organizations like yours normalise violence in support of an ideological cause”- told Judge Mark Wall in a London court.
Their existence gives individuals who are members the courage to commit acts that they may otherwise not commit. They put questions among people who otherwise could and would live together in peaceful coexistence” the British judge added
Wall pronounced the prison sentence of life with at least 28 years of unjust punishment to seek relief.
