Sa'll try to ease the situation a little bit: Prisoners did not escape, but left

Deputy Justice Minister Blerim Sa Godi, at an extraordinary news conference Saturday, where he spoke of some of the escapes from Kosovo prisons last week, confirmed that the two prisoners have not escaped but have left.

Because in his assessment they were serving their sentence in open - type prisons, where prisoners have many privileges and are weekend users.

There are two types of corrective institutions in Kosovo, closed species where security is high, convicts have rigorous and strict measures, as well as open types, where prisoners enjoy numerous rights and privileges, as the same are considered ready for reintegration”, he explained.

So that's why getting away from the closed prison type is considered escape, while leaving the open prison is considered an escape”, he added.
