He in a Facebook post has said he has proposed that the elections be held on January 26th.
“Today at a consultative meeting called by President Vjosa Osmani Sadriou for setting the date of general elections in the Republic of Kosovo, I proposed that parliamentary elections be held on January 26th 2025. This is the first date in line with legal deadlines. Other opposition parties expressed the same stance.
Non-Serb minority parties offered to accept the majority date, or the date the president sets.
Vetevendosje and the Serbian List did not attend the meeting.
I hope the president takes advantage of her constitutional right and respects the request of parliamentary parties who were part of this meeting and put it on January 26,”, he wrote on Facebook.
