Former prison director: Faton Hajrizi was not supposed to be transferred to Smreconica, resocisation was not at the right level

Former Kosovo prison director Sokol Zogaj has commented on Faton Hajriz's escape from the Smrekonica Correcting Centre, stressing that his transfer to an open-type institution was a mistake. Hajrizi, who has escaped nine times since he was arrested for killing a Russian soldier in Skenderaj in the year [...]
Hajriz, who has fled nine times since he was arrested for the murder of a Russian soldier in Skenderaj in 1999, should not have moved to Smreconica, according to Zogaj.
After he still has those stays to leave, leaving prison, he shouldn't have come to Smreconica at all. It's about to be held at the High Security Prison or in Dubrava or other detention centres. But look who's decided I don't know, but there's the responsibility they've brought “, Zogaj said during an interview on Dukagjin's “show around.
He also stressed that the process of resocialisation for Hajriz was not at the right level and that the decision for his transfer should be based on a more detailed assessment by psychologists and sociologists.
I don't know how much the psychologist and sociologist's approach in this case and others, but the mistake has been issued. The resocialisation process is not at the right level, Faton has violated”, Zogaj said.
Faton Hajriz is notified by the escape: My trials led me to escape from prison
Meanwhile, Hayriz was notified by the escape last night on the TikTok social network.
With a mask on his face, Hayriz has clarified the reasons for his escape and stressed that he is not hiding his face, but had suffered a injury during his escape. Hajrizi, in his video, said he plans to enter the “TickTok” to talk more extensively about the situation.
During his escape, Hyriz relates, he had experienced difficulties with prison wires and wall, which caused his face injuries. In the video, he thanked his supporters and addressed criticism, stressing that it is not the way the police describe it.
Someone might say that this person has become a hobby of getting out of prison, but it's not true. I want to be free like all Albanians. I'm not Albin Kurti. I'm worried about Israel or Ukraine being free. The reason I'm on the 1rd and I'm back on the 3rd of the weekend, the reason why I haven't left the weekend is exactly because I promised I wouldn't leave the weekend”, Hayriz said.
Hajriz noted the unjust treatment he claims to have received in prison. And, according to him, the provocations of officials at the Smreconica corrective Centre have pushed him to flee, while he claimed he has made the decision to temporarily escape, but will return to complete the remaining sentence, while deciding on his own.
