Kosovo police after intense investigation have come to identify a person who is suspected of throwing explosives at Albanian citizens' cars in Lake Weyman
Kosovo Police Deputy Director for the country's Northern Region Veton Elshani in a response to Periscope has indicated that police have raided a house and seized a car and 3 radio connections, dealing with the continuation of investigations concerning today's explosion near Wyman.
“In the wake of the investigation into today's explosion near Wyman, police around 21.00 raided a house in the area of the Zubin Potok.
“During the raid the police have encountered and seized, among other things, 3 radio connections and one car.
We don't have persons arrested, while police have identified a person who is of interest to us in interviewing”, Veton Elshani told Periscope.
A hand grenade was allegedly thrown near Weyman Lake at around 2:30, resulting in at least two cars, one with local license plates, and the other with American license plates.
Car owners for Dukagjin said they were washing in lake when they heard the crack they saw the black smoke.
They said they've come to Weyman before, but they haven't had any problems, as they showed that police have taken all the vacationers away.
Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has reacted after the blast, saying that security institutions will be involved in this criminal attack.
In a Facebook post, Kurti has stressed that Serbia and its specific friendly circles are not worth the normality created in the north of the country.
He has said that the loss of influence in this area has caused nervousness and aggressiveness on the part of Serbia and criminal groups, which have lost opportunities for great benefits they had after Kosovo's liberation.
