The country's president, Vjosa Osmani, has met with Iceland's prime minister, Bjarni Benedictsson, where she said it was Iceland, the country that gave rise to Kosovo's path and membership efforts in the Council of Europe.
Osmani said he and Benedictson talked about the strategic importance of the successful finalisation of this journey.
