Democratic League of Kosovo President Lumir Abdixhiku has named the day of genocide in Srebrenica as the largest “human tragedy since the end of World War II”.
Obadiah on the 29th anniversary of the genocide at Srebrenica said he remembers and honours all the victims of this inhuman act.
“Plagus and family pains, are still deep and serious for the fact that even after many years, there is no justice for Srebrenica and its deniers above all are unforgettable wounds”, he said, according to a statement published by the LDK.
“Gensa, the continued denial of this genocide by the Serbian state, as well as the promotion of the political and cultural project for Greater Serbia, clearly show Serbia's non-pending and the consistent historical goals for destabilising the region. Failure, denial and leave of responsibility continue to harm not only the relations among peoples but the common Euro-Atlantic future that the Western Balkans must have”, Abdixhiku added.
He said that today “is encouraging for Serbia to face its past, repent of this past and commit to good peace and neighbourhood in our region”.
Nobody knows this pain better than we do. Kosovo felt the dates as July 11th, because it was similar to the victim of ethnic Serb cleansing. We, today and always commemorate all victims of the Serbian extermination regime. Let this day be the memorial; but the reflection not to stop working for peace for all mankind”.
