For this millions-long loss, Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Finance, Labour and Transfers Minister Rakuran Murati have blamed former Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj.
Despite the damage, Prime Minister Albin Kurti said it is best that this project has not been realised.
“As we said years ago, it also turned out, this project was neither designed to be realized nor content, useful to our country. Unfortunately, the interruption of our government in the spring of 2020, and the arrival of an unconstitutional government left empty to address this issue and ensure that Kosovo did not have such consequences. As events have turned out, the belief is that this project has never planned to get adequate financing but is enough with the idea of a potential Arbitragi taking Kosovo money. Despite the consequences, it is far better that the same has not been realised because such an upset has not continued, but has ended”, Kurti said.
Finance and Transfers Minister Iron Murati has said it comes after “Contour Global” has won the case against Kosovo at the International Court of Abratraz. The “for payment under Arbitrazhi's Tributal, an agreement that was signed in December 2017 contained the signing of Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj”.
“They had signed the agreement despite calls from the opposition and civil society, such a contract should not be signed at first. An irresponsible signature devotes Kosovo over 21m euros to”, Murati has said.
