Chairman The PDK, Memli Krasniqi, has reacted after being sentenced to 18 years in prison to former KLA commander Peter Shala.
Krasniqi said today's Special Court ruling is the continuation of the draconian verdicts on deliverers who, according to him, fought only for the people's freedom.
The KLA war is the most glorious part of Kosovo's history, which no one and nothing can change and rewrite”.
“Although indignant with this verdict, we have always trusted justice, so we believe today that justice and truth will prevail sooner or later”, Krasniqi said.
This Tuesday, the Special Court ruled that former commander of KLA, Peter Shala, be sentenced to 18 years in prison for three criminal acts, one of arbitrary detention, torture as war crime and unlawful murder as a war crime.
