Krasniqi says the Albanian letter general died only physically, as his works will live forever.
“Ismail Kadare, with a very specific and original style, was a giant of Albanian letters. A personality and voice echoed the depths of history, culture, and our very human soul throughout his life. His letters and words composed the complex mosaic of Albanians, bringing to life our battles, our triumphs and our steadfast spirit”, writes the chairman of Facebook PDK.
“Ismail Kadare was more than a writer; he was the incarnation of Albanian pride, the fan of our national identity and champion of our literary and cultural heritage. Rest in peace, dear Ismail Kadare. Your words will sound forever in our hearts, and your inheritance will continue to inspire generations to come. Thank you for giving us the gift of your extraordinary story. We'll miss you deeply, but we'll never forget”
