Kosovo customs, during a patrol on the Pristina suburb, have seized a vehicle registered abroad.
Customs officers after the vehicle's ban have realised that the person in possession of the vehicle is Kosovo's resident, who has acted in opposition to the Customs Code and Actis norms that regulate the management of vehicles registered abroad. As a result, officers seized the vehicle to launch relevant administrative procedures against the owners.
The seized vehicle is a 499 GTB Ferrari, worth an estimated 250,000 euros.
Under legal provisions, vehicles registered abroad with regular license plates are allowed in Kosovo only if used by their legitimate owners during the provisional positions. Kosovo citizens have no right to own or use registered vehicles abroad under these circumstances.
Kosovo Customs, in co-operation with the Kosovo Police, is committed to implementing these legal provisions to prevent tax evasion and ensure compliance with the law. We invite all citizens to adhere to legal obligations for not possessing vehicles without paying customs duties.
We remain alert to ensure that legal requirements are applied to all of us.
