KKP is strongly responding to the government for the new law: Power pressure to capture KPKA has been fully revealed

The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council has reacted sharply since Kosovo's Parliament, exactly the deputies of power passed the new KKP law, writes Periscopi. In a long reaction, they have said that with the adoption of this law, the government's tendency to intervene in the Kosovo prosecutorial system is clearly seen and opened.

They say that before the law was voted in the Assembly by the KKP has submitted their recommendations, but that neither the executive nor the legislature took into account.

This tendency of power, now fully exposed, represents rigorous intervention in the prosecutorial system and the entire justice system, by upgrading actions and kinds of farsas and institutions every day, with the sole goal of having the goal of empowering the greatest accountability in the prosecutorial system, to achieve balance with members and non-professionals, but that, in itself, is trying to apprehend and correct the KKPK and the State Prosecutor's Office and the Constitutional Commission, without its efficitation of its functioning and easily influenced by other policies, the remaining options are said in response.

Full response:

KPK reacts to adopting new KKP bill by Kosovo Assembly
Pristina, July 15th 2024 Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPK) announces the public opinion that the Government of Kosovo has consistently ignored and rejected comments, suggestions and proposals of KPK delegates to working groups, formed by the Ministry of Justice, and on the Kosovo Republic of Kosovo Assembly Commissions for the completion and change of the new Law for KP, which was adopted on 11 July 2024.
This unilateral practice of adopting legal acts clearly shows that the Government of Kosovo and the majority in the Kosovo Assembly, knowingly and in the name of reforms, aim to do the opposite of reform -- the blocking and defunction of the prosecutorial system.
The KKP points out that the adoption of this law constitutes disrespect and open violation of the basic principles of the Joint Declaration of Vomit, which in itself presents a kind of absurdity of a rare kind, because the composition of the current Executive, or, the Ministry of Justice, is not entirely managing to avoid political positions in relation to the prosecutorial system, ignoring multi-pronounced suggestions and contradicting not only the requirements based on representatives of the KPK, but also with the requirements and recommendations of representatives of the European Union and international organisations.
However, The KKP is especially grateful and grateful to international representatives and civil society in the country who stood up for these principles and insisted that Kosovo Government and Assembly not ignore the recommendations of local institutions, the European Union, the Council of Europe and O The SEU regarding the Bill for the Prosecutorial Council.
In this case, the KKP has fully joined the calls and appeals meant to respect European norms and standards prior to the adoption of this law and other laws in the Assembly, sharply criticising the approach of power in terms of violating the independence of the country's constitutional institutions, such as the KKP.
At present, this tendency of power, now fully revealed, presents rigorous intervention in the prosecutorial system and the entire justice system, by upgrading every day of action and kind of faras and insinuate, with the sole purpose of having the goal of empowering the greatest accountability in the prosecutorial system, to achieve the balance of composition with members and non-professsional prosecutors, but that, in itself, is to try to capture and correct the KPK and the State Prosecutor, and violate the constitutional mandate and the prosecutorial system's independence, making it workable and easily influenced by politics.
Eventually, the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council points out that it remains committed to supporting reforming processes and engages in that together with all local and international partners, co-operate in any kind of initiative aimed at reforming the necessary, in order to empower rule of law in Kosovo and the prosecutorial system to do its independent, professional, accounting and transparent work, but also requires full respect of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo and the exclusion of any part of the anti-condition of independent institutions in the country.
