Insufficient Time
I don't have time to forget a lot.
From my mind to time indefinite.
For Old Tragics and Lights
I'll take at least two years.
And maybe as much for Dante,
For the French, along with the beaches as well,
Maybe the women will be erasing.
When nightfall approaches,
As an Overweight Traveler
Before the plane leaves shortly
Heavyly loaded yet
I'll be at the lost grave.
How do I get this burden off my shoulders?
Where do I put that weight?
I can't get down there with him.
But I can't even go up there.
Thinking Until the last moment
from the tragic stumbling block,
A Perceptive Sign
I'll make you all leave.
Ismail Kadare
