The official list of medical products prices was a topic of discussion at the Commission for Health and Social Goodness. There, Health Minister Arben Vitita reported on Tuesday, which was criticised by opposition parties.
Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Bekim Haxhiu has told Minister Vitita that with the current performance of work, he will complete the mandate without the official list of medical products prices.
MP The PDK on this commission has said the list has had products at multiple higher prices.
In some of the tests we did on that list, it turns out there are multiple price increases from 100 %s. We have members of the Commission behind us, they say there were technical errors. There's been an increase of up to 3,000. Promising discounts and signing high prices list that makes no sense. With this work performance, you will complete the mandate and there will be no list of” prices, he said.
Haxhiu has also raised the question of the damage to the rainfall in the drug depot.
But Minister Vitita denied these charges by MP Hadziu. Vitia has said this law was introduced in the past year, which defines the prices of medical products for licensed pharmaceutical and minority districts in the Republic of Kosovo.
According to him, this law defines ensuring the affordable cost of products and efficient for citizens.
In August 2023, the law has been enacted for the prices of medical products for licensed pharmaceutical and minority districts in the Republic of Kosovo. This league stipulates the prices of medical products for licensed pharmaceutical districts by majority and minority in the Republic of Kosovo. This law is partly in line with the 89/105 directive The EEC for transparency of measures to regulate prices for medical products for use of people, as well as their involvement in the field of state health insurance system. This law defines ensuring affordable costs of necessary and efficient medical products for citizens and institutions of the Republic of Kosovo”, Vitita said.
