As for the census of the Serb community, the Kosovo Statistics Agency said the process was largely boycotted in four municipalities in northern Kosovo, inhabited by Serb majority. Meanwhile, Serbs living south of the Iber River have participated in the census process.
According to preliminary data, 2,300 people were registered in northern Mitrovica, in Zvecan, 435, in Zubin Potok 758 and in Leposaviq 3,207.
The AKS said the average age in Kosovo has increased. In 2011, the average age in the country was estimated to be about 30 years old, but now it is 34.32.
During the data presentation it was said that nine municipalities have had population growth, meanwhile, 29 others have declined. Kosovo field leads with the largest increase of about 84 percent. In this municipality, also mostly people live in one square meter, 762, respectively.
