US State Department: Authors of killing the Bytyqi brothers remain at large, Serbia brought to justice

The US State Department has requested justice for Yll, Agron and Mehmet Bytyqi on the 25th anniversary of their murder.
U.S. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller wrote that “sot, authors of this brutal act remain at large”. He said they call on Serbia to carry out the investigation in this case and bring those responsible to justice.
“25 years ago, American citizens Star, Agron and Mehmet Bytyqi were killed in the custody of Serbian police. Today, the perpetrators of this brutal act remain at large. We call on Serbia again to complete its investigation and bring to justice those responsible for their death”, Miller wrote.
Brothers Agron, Mehmet and Yll Bytyqi, American citizens, were arrested in 1999 in Serbia because, as then Serbian officials have said, illegal border crossing.
After the sentence, they were released from prison and then killed. Their troops were found in a mass grave, near Petrovo Selos in eastern Serbia, in 2001.
