Today, the Special Court will announce the verdict against former Kosovo Liberation Army member Peter Shala, accused of war crimes.

For acts that burden Shala, as arbitrary ban, cruel treatment, torture and illegal murder, Z. The SP has asked to be sentenced to 28 years in prison.

According to the prosecution, Shala was part of a criminal group that has arrested and mistreated at least 18 people who were considered co-organists.

The crimes were allegedly committed between May and June 1999, against persons who were detained at the metal factory in Kukes, Albania.

Meanwhile, Shala was arrested on March 16, 2021, while the trial against him began on February 21, 2023.
