The Food and Veterinary Agency adds that in co-operation and co-ordination with agencies under Integrated Border Management, Kosovo Police and Kosovo Customs, in full capacity they will execute measures under the recognition order for preventing cargo entry from areas affected by Newcastle's disease.
“This disease is an infection of domestic birds and other bird species with the Newcastle disease virus (NDV). It's not disturbing for food safety or public health. Citizens like consumers don't need any trouble. The disease is of social-economic character, which only endangers the country's autofary farm sector”, says the announcement.
