Here is what is known so far about the situation:
Trump was speaking at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, when loud noises were heard in the crowd around 18:13.
Trump seems to have been hit by something in the right ear zone while he was talking, and the videos show him getting fast on his ear and then sitting on the ground, while security agents and others jump to help him.
One spectator was killed and at least two were injured.
Trump was raised with blood on the side of his face and seemed to say <x0... fight, fight” while pumping his fist.
Trump was then quickly cleared from the scene and his vehicle.
The rally site is now an active crime scene. The FBI has taken over the investigation.
Trump and the Secret Service team confirmed that it was “well” and was being searched at a local medical institution.
Later, Trump posted a statement on the Social Truth, saying it was hit by a “plumb that went through the upper right ear”.
District Attorney Butler confirmed that the suspect of shooting and a participant at the rally were dead. One person at the gathering was in serious condition. The Secret Service later said that two people were in critical condition.
The shooting is being investigated as an attempt at the assassinations.
The FBI later appointed Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, from Bethel Park, PA as “subject included” in the shooting.
The Secret Service shared more details about the position of shooting and confirmed that the shooter was killed by the Secret Service. ABC News reported that law enforcement officials claimed the suspect was placed on a roof and used an AR-style rifle.
The president, Joe Biden, said the “all should condemn political violence” in a speech shortly after the shooting. The White House later said that the president and Trump had spoken. Beden is returning to the White House. Trump is in New Jersey.
