Former RTK General Director Shkumbin Ahmetxheekaj has been declared regarding his resignation from this post. Ahmetjekaj has initially confessed to a visit to Tirana to take the model for establishing RTK's orchestra and the Song Festival.

In less than three years, the project for the Song Festival was implemented, two fantastic RTK concerts were organised, strategic documents for RTK reform were drafted, we started television shows, we improved Radio Kosovo's channeling network, we improved significantly the working conditions, invested in new technologies and studios, opened regional offices in Prizren and Mitrovica, and soon at Peja and Gjilan, provided sports rights, including the national football matches of Kosovo, the Champions League and other UFA leagues leagues, transformed online media and schemes in all of our units, in Kosovo's cable players, including multi-profit projects, and multi-enignorial projects that implemented international economies, and other competitiond international projects.

He has said the EBU has announced to the board that changes in management may have an effect on the application to become part of Eurovision.

And we are now close to fulfilling the dream to be invited as participants to the 2008 Eurovision Song Festival in 2025, as a result of our serious and credital partnership with the EBU. I very much hope that this project will be finalised despite the fact that the Board has been announced by the EBU that changes in management will have an effect on our application. Despite my willingness to continue to exercise office to finalise the process in order not to endanger this major project, the Board has ignored my request. ”

This resignation is unusual, as with these achievements the Board agrees with, but the current situation is far from the enthusiasm of April 2022 when with my team at that time we built powerful foundations of structural and program change by making bold and professional decisions that led the way for further changes. With that team, we had big plans and worked hard to make it come true, the dream of a powerful, creative, independent and accounting RTK. In my judgment, a General Director would have to have full support in creating his team and defending himself from political interference in any form and whenever it might appear.
