AGK Chairman: The government has been targeting the media for more than three years.

He stresses that the Kosovo government is trying to target the media as enemies of the people.

To the end, AGK Chairman Xhemajl Rexha says that they have been calling on President Vjosa Osmani for a week now and that it's a pity they haven't received answers.

 

 

“We President Osmani have asked a public call to form a stance on KPM, but even though there's now a week that we've made this public call we haven't heard a word, it's a pity that the President in question should react to the last lynching campaign against two portals but has not done it, it's disappointing that doesn't form a” attitude, he said.

We recall that Kosovo Assembly deputies at the July 11th session approved the Bill for Independent Media Commission (KPM), which among other things envisions internet media licensing, monitoring them and fines of up to 400,000 euros.
