In the published media report, it is stressed that France and the United States welcome continued close co-operation for the integration of the Western Balkans into the European Union in order to boost prosperity and strengthen democratic governance and rule of law.
“They welcome the opportunity to strengthen common commitment in the Western Balkans, including co-operation between the European Union (BE) and NATO, the EU-attensible dialogue for normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia, and supporting key reforms for EU integration”, the White House report, reports the Express.
“As witnesses to Dayton-Paris Accords, France and the United States reaffirm their support for the Office of the High Representative and will continue to firmly defend Bosnia and Herzegovina's sovereignty, territorial integrity and multiethnic character. They call on leaders in Bosnia and Herzegovina to reject the way of partition and secession and instead work together to make the reforms necessary to join the EU. They call on the new government in northern Macedonia to stay focused on the road to the EU and stick to their international commitments”, the report says further.
