The Special Prosecutor has refused to plead concerning the suspect of spying with Serbian BIA, Bedri Saban, whether he was or was expected to be a witness at the Special Court in The Hague.
In an official response to Dukagjin, Specialised Prosecutor's spokesman Christopher Bennett has refused to provide an answer regarding Bedri Shaban.
Bennett has made it clear that the Specialised Prosecutor's Office does not comment on the investigation cases at this phase of the process.
The Specialised Prosecutor's Office does not comment on its” investigation, he said of Dukagjin.
Bedri Shaban, who is reported to have witnessed the Special, was arrested by authorities in recent days, facing charges of distributing confidential information and his links to the Serbian agency, BIA.
Bedri Shaban's lawyer, Besnik Berisha, has confirmed that his client, one of the suspects in suspicious acts of spying, is a witness at the Special Court in The Hague and has no evidence of any illegal action on his part.
Although the lawyer has not provided detailed details about the case in which Shaban has witnessed at The Hague or was expected to give a witness against former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders (UÇK).
