Specialised Chambers Judge Nicolas Guillou has surrendered his resignation to Judge Ekaterina Trendafilova today.
The Special Court itself has confirmed the news through a media report, indicating that Guillo has taken a new position at the International Criminal Court.
On June 6th 2024, Judge Nicolas Guillou handed President Ekaterina Trendafilova his resignation as judge on the list of international judges of Kosovo's Specialised Chambers (DHK). The resignation of Judge Guillou comes after his election as judge of the International Criminal Court and taking over his duties there.
President Trendafilova praised Judge Guillou for his choice and expressed her sincere appreciation for his extraordinary contribution to the KSK's mandate through, among other things, his work as Judge and Judge of the only”, the report said.
