The OSCE mission tomorrow will publish a report on how courts in Kosovo have handled high-level organised crime and corruption.
Report, part of a broader O trials monitoring programme The SEU in the region analyses 52 cases of organised crime and corruption (including 670 mission-monitored hearings between 2021 and 2024.
Under EU financial support, the report makes practical recommendations to help institutions address shortcomings in prosecuting and judging cases of organised crime and corruption.
O Mission Chief will speak at this event SEU in Kosovo, Ambassador Michael Davenport, Justice Minister Albulen Haxhiu, EU Ambassador to Kosovo Tomáš Szunyog, Supreme Court Chairman Fejzullah Rexhepi, Kosovo Judiciary Council leader Albert Zogaj, Kosovo Prosecutorial Council Chairman Ardian Hajdaraj, Deputy Prosecutor-in-chief Agron Qalaj, to proceed with the presentation of findings and a session of questions and answers.
O The SEU has invited media representatives to watch this event tomorrow, June 5, 2024, at the Swiss Diamond Hotel in Pristina, starting at 10:00.
This project implemented by O field operations The SEU in Tirana, Pristina, Sarajevo, Podgorica, Skopje and from July of this year, as well as in Belgrade, will continue until December 2026, when the final report will be released.
