Daniel Serwer, a conflict management specialist and observer of political developments in the Western Balkans, has said that a successful and democratic Kosovo that respects the rights of Serbs does not meet Serbian President Alexander Vuciq, who, according to him, will continue destabilising efforts, especially in Kosovo and Northern Macedonia.
Speaking about the theme “The future of the Western Balkans following the Russian invasion of Ukraine” at Tetovo University in Northern Macedonia, he has added that Vucic has achieved that “has fired no lead” to take over executive power in Montenegro and Serbian entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina, thus realizing de facto The first phase of the so-called Serbian “world project”.
“He will not be able to do that in Kosovo, but has tried through violence: kidnapping three Kosovo police officers, attacking NATO peacekeepers and the September 24th terrorist action. All these attempts failed, but he will continue to try”, remember, among others Serwer.
He has further stressed that the United States (SHBA) and the European Union (BE) still seek to calm Serbia and have done nothing to punish the violence promoted in Kosovo, especially in September last year, when an organised terrorist group attacked the Kosovo Police.
“A successful and democratic Kosovo that respects Serb rights is not desirable to Vucic. It will likely be active in northern Macedonia as well. Increasing tensions between Macedonians and Albanians will be a way of functioning”, Serwer has warned.
