Initially, the case prosecutor, Ilir Morina, read the indictment with which he charges the Serb, Pleskovic. He said the same has committed the murder of two brothers, Binak and Reshat Dachaj during the recent war in Kosovo.
Kosovo's “Procurory, dated 06.06.2024, has filed an indictment against Milos Pleakovic. He has severely violated the rules of international law against civilian persons. Performing the murder of the Binak twins and Reshat Dachaj, in the period of time Serbia's military police forces were stationed in the Prizren district because of the armed conflict. While September 11, 1998, in the vicinity of Prizren the victims have gone to their mountain to pick up firewood for heating and while they were walking, they have encountered 7-8 persons of Serbian forces. First they asked them to stop then they insulted them, at that point the defendant shot the Kalashnikov. Victims Binak Fatmir and Resak Dacaj have remained at the scene of the incident killed because of gunfire. The victims were disabled I, one of them didn't have the head in the body”, says the Prosecution File, read by prosecutor Morina.
While the chairman of the court, Beqman Beqiri, said the defendant's statement will only be received at this session because he is on initial trial.
The accused pleaded not guilty, and for these murders “must be tried who carried out the” work.
“I do not accept the indictment I feel sorry for the victims should respond to the one who committed that crime, and not I”, Pleskovic said.
To those charged with the nickname “Qeli” there is another procedure as charged with another criminal offence.
The damaged side has sought compensation for the damage if Pleskovic is found guilty at the end of the trial.
The defendant's lawyer called for changing the security measure, but was rejected by the prosecutor, Ilir Morina.
According to Morina, there is an anonymous witness who fears whether Plescope is available.
I think the demand for change of mass is denied because no form of law has changed. The only basic option is escape. As the Court knows, we have an anonymous witness who fears for his life, and on the basis of that, if the defendant is on freedom, he could risk his life. As for the escape base, we have provided written reasons for the indictment”, prosecutor Morina said.
