Scepticism for full removal of measures, failure of Kurti-Vucciq meeting in Brussels helps positively

A Kurti-Vucciq summit has failed in recent moments. According to EU High Representative Josep Borell, there have been three conditions of Kosovo's prime minister that have been unable to meet two Balkan leaders in Brussels who had been sitting at the negotiating table for some time. The failure of this [...]
The failure of this summit has come at a very delicate moment about the removal of EU measures for Kosovo, since Borell had recommended removing them, while among member states there are skeptics who require a gradual removal rather than complete removal.
That the failure of the meeting would have a negative impact on the positions of member states about the removal of the measures, German Ambassador to Pristina Jorn Rohde has said.
He has said that although the meeting has to do with the measures, his failure has a positive impact on the creation of the atmosphere, writes Express newspaper.
I'm going back to the previous statement. The EU is a compromise machine; and the removal of punitive measures is in the hands of member states. They have different attitudes, many of them want the removal of whole measures, and some more skeptical; while we have to reach a common text and now it's working. Kosovo should consider this. And if you create an atmosphere that helps to remove measures as soon as possible, it is better. And, yesterday's meeting, although it has nothing to do with the masses, when it comes to creating the atmosphere, neither here does it help”, Rohde told Nacional.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti from Brussels has spoken about the issue of the measures on Wednesday, after finishing meetings with Borelli. Kurti has said that it is important for Kosovo that the EU foreign policy chief has recommended lifting the measures, meanwhile, has acknowledged that there are developments among member states, whose cause Kosovo is still under measures.
“are some internal dynamics within the 27s, which we still have measures even now that we are speaking”, the head of the Kosovo Government from Brussels said on Wednesday.
On June 19th, EU High Representative Josep Borell had recommended the removal of measures against Kosovo through his report.
“Taking into account the steps Kosovo has taken towards meeting EU requirements expressed in the June 3rd statement of 2023, the high representative recommends that the Council take the stance of removing measures against Kosovo, at the same time respecting institutional pre-grogates”, the report said in Borell submitted to member states.
