Albanian Selimi, wife of the former Self-Deputer of the Vetevendosje Movement, Rexhep Selimi, who is being held in custody at The Hague as accused of war crimes, has said the Kosovo Liberation Army's war cannot be tried by charges fabricated in Serbia.
This trial as the end is known, this court is dealing with the dezination of the people, there is no need for witnesses, what they have witnessed. Our fight cannot be tried by charges fabricated in Serbia”, Selimi said in an interview for Euro News Albania.
The Reja is very healthy with all its friends and is keeping strong. They are proud of the war they have fought in Kosovo. For every joy of Kosovo, they also rejoice”, he added.
She has said she is not satisfied with the work of the Special Court, until she has added that she expects fair trial until she is convinced of the innocence of former KLA leaders who are being accused of war crimes.
This court hopes to have justice in it and not judge politically. I hope the judges are careful about their decisions. We expect fair judgment and in favour of our rescuers, I wish next year to be with us”, the potential Selimi.
Otherwise, former LV delegation Rexhep Selimi was declared innocent of the war crimes indictment and crimes against humanity, which has been confirmed against him by the Special Chambers in The Hague.
“I plead innocent for all points of indictment”, Selimi said, during his first appearance before the Specialised Chambers, where he was asked to declare whether he feels innocent or guilty of charges weighing on him.
I'm just a deliverer that I started with the legendary commander, Adem Yasar, and we're done with General Clark, with NATO”, Selimi stressed.
According to the indictment, Selimi is suspected of criminal acts involving war crimes, unlawful or arbitrary bans, cruel treatment, torture and unlawful crimes against humanity, imprisonment, other inhumane acts, forced disappearance of persons and persecution, which, according to Specialised Chambers, were committed between March 1998 and September, 1999.
