WikiLeaks' founder will avoid prison in the United States after it is said to have reached a plea agreement with the United States Department of Justice.

Assange is said to be reconciled with an agreement on admitting guilt with Justice Department prosecutors, which will allow him to be released after he faced criminal charges including the alleged takeover and discovery of classified information that appeared on the Wikipedia site in 2010.

While the plea agreement still needs to be approved by a federal judge, prosecutors are demanding a 62-month sentence for Assange after being convicted, which represents the period of time he has already spent in prison in the United Kingdom.
