But, as the announcement suggests, “Cassandra” today has been found dead in its cage, since veterinarians found it to be suffering from cancer that had spread to its internal organs.

The beautiful Cassandra has left us heartbreaking, as we suddenly found her lifeless in her den. She had recently shown disturbing signs. After being treated by our veterinarians, her condition initially improved. However, just a few days after the treatment began, she was found lifeless by her stewards. The results of the tests revealed that Cassandra suffered from cancer that had spread to several internal organs.

It was a symbol bear and a very special one of our shelters. 
She was the first bear to be saved by FOUR PAWS in Kosovo in March 2013 was an example of true endurance. Although the shelter was not fully built nor willing to wait for any gold, we did everything we could to get her out of her terrible cage as soon as possible.

Her cage was small and offered no shelter from bad weather. She was fed from animal lovers from time to time. A copy of its cage was built, and today when you visit our shelter, you can see what conditions Cassandra had lived on for many years.
Cassandra He lived for 11 happy years under excellent care from our staff. She was known as a fruit lover, especially a watermelon. 
We were all surprised that in a very short time after her arrival, she was completely transformed - both mentally and physically.

One of their favorite things was swimming and spraying in their pool together, especially during hot summer days.
